FL RCPI - Community Policing

The Florida Regional Community Policing Institute (FL RCPI) provides public safety professionals and the citizens they serve with innovative classroom and online training in community policing issues vital to their communities. FL RCPI has trained more than 131,000 participants representing more than 870 different agencies. It has achieved this level of participation by offering premium quality, customer-driven training.

FL RCPI has been and continues to be called upon to respond to local and national training needs in topical areas, such as Mortgage Fraud, Hate Crimes, Law Enforcement Suicide Prevention, Emotionally Disturbed Persons (including Veterans), Human Trafficking, Homelessness, Community Policing, Ethics, Gangs, School Violence, Pharmaceutical Abuse, Methamphetamine Labs, Counter-Terrorism Awareness, Offender Re-Entry, Workplace and Domestic Violence, and Diversity. FL RCPI also works closely with long-time partners, such as the U.S. Attorney's Office–Middle District of Florida, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and others, to deliver training throughout Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Most recently, FL RCPI has been working with the U.S. Department of State to provide Community Engagement training in Central America, including Guatemala, Honduras, Belize, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Panama.
